Accordingly to Ayurveda, amla or gooseberry is a great rasayana. Ripe, fresh and juicy amla are dried in shade and then converted to churna using vedic method. This powder or churna is again soaked in amla juice 21 times, i.e. amla juice ‘bhavna’ is given to churna. This amlaki rasayan is considered the best rasayan and also for prolonging life. Its consumption improves vitality and enables the body to fight various ailments and illness.
